St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School is a Florida Not for Profit Corporation qualified under 501(c)(3) as tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Code. The expenses of the school are met through tuitions and contributions. Our cost to educate a child is approximately $9,900.00 per school year and the tuition is $4,850.00 per school year. Fundraisers organized and supported by our Parents Volunteer Group along with individual and corporate donations make up and balance our budget.
The copy righted publication and service of the Children's Orthodox Parochial School Bulletin has been and will continue to be provided without charge, notwithstanding any donations to the school are always appreciated.
St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School was incorporated as St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Parochial School, Inc. on October 2, 2003 as a Not-for-profit corporation of the State of Florida. Being open to children of all faiths, the school later added the DBA of St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School. The School has been acknowledged as a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and, as such, any donations the School receives are tax deductible.
The St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School Parent Volunteer Group (PVG) is committed to the improvement and enhancement of the educational environment of the School by providing support through effective fundraising efforts. The PVG operates at the direction of the school 's administration. It’s purpose is to help provide those special extras that the School cannot always add to the budget, and to assist in reducing the gap between the tuition and the actual cost of education. (Approximately $4850.00 vs $9900.00) Any funds collected through fundraising efforts are deposited into the School’s Operating Account, or such other account for fundraising purposes that shall be operated and maintained by the School. No parents or representatives of the PVG are authorized to maintain accounts on behalf of the School. The PVG is in charge of our family events throughout the year. Parents are notified of meetings throughout the year by email and through newsletters that are sent home. All parents are encouraged to join and participate in fundraising efforts of the PVG.
