Proceed to the latest Children’s Bulletin 
Dear Friends of St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School and the Children's Orthodox Christian School Bulletin,
We here at the school appreciate the support that has been given to the school and the Bulletin this past school year. While we had some lofty goals for the Children's Bulletin this past year, we were surprised that we surpassed our goals and found out new information that uplifted us to do even better this 2007-2008 school year. By the end of last school year we had distributed 1,750,000 copies to the Children's Bulletin and were reaching approximately 100,000 children and adults from ages eight to eighty each week. This next school year, 2007-2008, we hope we will distribute more than 3,800,000 copies.
Through out the year we received a significant number of emails expressing satisfaction and appreciation for our efforts to bring this publication to you each week. For this we thank all of you for your kind words and interest. It should be known that the entire Bulletin is prepared, published and distributed though the efforts of Fr. Joseph, his staff, the staff at the St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School in Tarpon Springs Florida and the staff in my business office. This is all done on a basis of volunteerism with no professional outside assistance.
The genesis of this bulletin goes back further than St. Nicholas School, St. Stefanos, Nancy, Markella and the others mentioned below. The Bulletin has existed in one form or another back before Fr. Joseph came to Florida. Fr. Joseph began work on the bulletin eight years ago. St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School got involved in August of 2003.
Many, over the years have made significant contribution, all deeply appreciated by all of us. This includes Markella Balasis, Nancy Bannon, Diane Margarites, Fr. Tryfon Theophilopoulos, Cindy DesVoignes, Paula Friend, Fr. Jacob Meyer, Nina Henderson, Sheawn Brown, Alan Dawson and many others. These efforts include layout, editing, created the games, printing and many other tasks. Sheawn and Alan have spent countless MIS hours. In prior years we spent three days a week printing, folding, collating and sending our by overnight mail this bulletin. It should be noted that all but Diane are not Greek Orthodox and Fr. Jacob Meyer is Russian Orthodox. Each of their respective employers absorbed what ever expenses were incurred and all humbly gave of themselves as they believed in the education of children in the light of Christ. The total library of these Bulletins from 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 is in excess of 115 published and copy righted editions. As we build the data base of these prior editions, much of the material will be used to recirculate in future years again with no individual or personal credits.
As you can see, this Bulletin is the culmination of years of effort by many, all springing from a desire of Fr. Joseph to minister to the youth.
In the past these have been printed weekly in my offices and delivered to the local area churches to be used on Thursdays at the Christian School and on Sunday at Church.
With our current format and copy right we expect to now distribute to as many churches and Sunday School Directors that we can with the hopes that they will reproduce and distribute on Sunday. The bulletin is distributed electronically on Tuesday nights with the hopes that it will be reproduced on Wednesday and Thursday locally and then distributed.
We here absorb all the cost of preparation and electronic distribution. We expect the recipients to respect our copyrights and print and distribute with no charge on their respective local basis.
Through the Bulletin we are spreading the word and educating, after all we are a school and that is our mission. In promoting the school we are also educating readers as to alternatives in education, i.e. Public, Private, Christian based schools vs. ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS. Just as we spread the seeds of Christ, we also plant the seeds in other communities for them to consider the establishment in their communities of ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS.
