School Lunch Program

With the addition of the new multipurpose building, St. Nicholas is proud to offer a complete healthy school lunch to all students.

Besides providing 30% of the recommended daily allowances of protein, calcium and essential vitamins, studies have shown that a healthy school meal can improve classroom behavior. Students demonstrate a longer attention span, stay focused on learning, and students show improved test scores. Students also show a reduction in absences and tardiness.

Student lunches are prepared by trained chefs in our new state of the art kitchen facilities, and menus are changed regularly to provide a variety of choices. Lunches are served with fresh fruit or juice and low-fat milk.

All lunches cost $3.00 and include:

  • Choice of Entrée
  • 2 Fruits or 2 Vegetables

Lunch monies must be prepaid into your child’s account in the Cafeteria. Parents will need to register for a free account at MealpayPlus.com in order to make payments and view account balances. The money remains in the child’s account and may be used for any lunches, books, or event tickets during the year. Your child’s account can be replenished at any time to avoid a negative balance. You will be notified by the School Office before your child’s account reaches a zero balance. Checks are accepted and should be made out to St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian School. No cash is accepted for lunches.

By registering for a MealpayPlus account, you get the added advantage of:

  • Paying online towards multiple student accounts with one payment
  • Viewing a summary of student account balances
  • Viewing student account payment history
  • Viewing what your child is eating at the school cafeteria
  • Ability to pay for other school activities, books, uniforms, etc.
     

In order to register for the MealpayPlus service you will need the student ID number of each student you add to your profile. If you do not know the student ID, contact the school administration office for this information.
